Long time no see

It's been a while, huh? I'm not really sure what I'm trying to accomplish with this blog other than getting my artwork out there. Using that as my diving off point: working on the script for Epic*, updating my site layout**, preparing for my next semester, working on clothes for myself (hey, i need clothes!), and doing soon commissioned work for friends and family. Pretty boring stuff all around.

*Epic-est Butterflies of Win: a production by entertainment hopefuls (i.e. my friends) that I happen to be the costumer, screenwriter, and spearheader for.

Bonnet

I've been working so much on my bonnet lately (ok, that and watching Sailor Moon, my 10 year old self needed to be pacified) that I've barely thought of much else. Hopefully I can add some pictures of it soon (^.^;; and maybe some SM fanart :P) and I'll also have a Watertower t-shirt design to add eventually (the paper is kinda dying so I'm not sure how long that stream of artwork is going to continue to flow). I'll also have some ratty doodles (Toto and Dotty, the dumbo rats, are the newest additions to my family ^.^) to scan and add. I've also been itching to paint lately although my salon artwork gig has run its course so hopefully I can get that part of my life up and running again soon. Ahh, the best made plans of mice and men... 9,9;; oh well, one thing at a time. ^.^

Well, I haven't done a lot in the way of artwork in awhile, just a couple watertowers. These were particularly weird ones too.

I haven't done too much this week other than some Watertowers I'm ho-hum about. Hopefully I'll have another Midori picture by the end of the weekend but no promises, it's been more than a little hectic in the chaos this week. Hopefully things will slow down soon and I can get back to making pretty pictures.

So I finished cleaning up two of the sketches. There are tons more which I don't think I will post all of, since I have tons of watertowers I haven't bothered to post either. But don't quote me on that ^.^;;

Midori (mimi-chan) Nekoyama

So I've been working on Midori-Chan, the new mascot for the Anime as an Artform program I live in. I'm in the middle of the Art Show design for it but I'll go ahead and post the rough draft character design before work (work!! I have a job now as of today!! :D ) and I'll post the final for the Show once it's done.

kitty color

So, I colored it. I tried burn shading it but it came out horribly, naturally. That's never a good tool. I probably should have signed it. Oh well. Mine, ok? That's really all I need to say.
